You are taught about birth and the post natal time by midwives who work in Gloucestershire, either out on the community, on the birth unit or on delivery suite. The midwives who run your classes are non-judgemental and full of knowledge ready to share with you their wisdom and top tips for making your birth go smoothly. The antenatal classes cover everything from what happens with each stage of labour, non-drug ways to cope with labour, pain relief such as gas and air to epidurals, caesareans, inductions and then also baby care, breastfeeding, bottle feeding, what to look out for in the early days and what’s normal and what’s not. They are on hand to answer all your questions.
Group antenatal classes with The Bump to Baby Chapter include their hypnobirthing online course too. You can practice your breathing techniques, relaxations and recap on anything that you’ve learnt at antenatal class at home too.
