    Course Graduate Reviews

    Sarah Mapplebeck

The passion and dedication of Beth and her team at The Bump to Baby Chapter is what makes these classes so special. As new parents, we had little idea of what to expect from labour, birth, and beyond. The antenatal classes gave us an intimate setting to voice our concerns and get the answers we needed.

    Asked Questions

What Do These Antenatal Classes Worcester Cover?

Over the 4 evenings, your TBTBC Midwife & course leader, will cover everything from when to go into hospital to what happens when you go home with your baby, and all that’s inbetween.

She will give you many practical tips to help with your birth but also to help when things don’t go according to plan A.

At the start of every course your class leader will ask what you would like to know. We do have a rough guide on topics we'd like you to know though. It will go a little something like this...

    1st session

    • Labour Overview from when to go into hospital, signs of labour, to delivering the placenta and postnatal care.

    2nd session

    • Coping strategies for labour, including non-drugs and drugs for pain relief.
    • Induction of labour and naturally starting labour

    3rd session

    • Cesarean Birth
    • Normal appearances of a baby, what’s normal, what’s not.

    4th session

    • Breastfeeding/ Bottle feeding
    • Safe sleeping
    • Bathing
    • Nappy changes, contents of a nappy!
    • Signs of a well-fed baby.

You’ll get a birth preference list, a hospital bag checklist and other resources that have been specially made by us midwives from TBTBC to help you have a smoother birth in all scenarios. You will get free access to The Birth Chapter online course so that you have all the information at your fingertips after the course has finished.

Where are these antenatal classes held?

These antenatal classes are hosted in Worcester, at Wayland's Yard. We have chosen Wayland's Yard specifically for how accommodating it is as a cafe for parents with babies and young children. They have great changing facilities, a feeding room, a quiet area and a room that regularly hosts baby and parent classes.

Why should I do The Bump to Baby Chapter Antenatal Classes over other courses?

Over here at The Bump to Baby Chapter, we are all midwives. This means that we are actually caring for women antenatally in pregnancy, during birth or in that immediate time after baby is born.

Having a midwife running your classes means that you are always getting up to date information about what's currently relevant. These antenatal classes Worcester are designed to be fun, social and informative so you can get prepped for birth and make some solid friends along the way.

    How Do I Book?

Find your due month and then click Book Now. This will take you to the payment page. If you'd prefer to apy in installments or have any questions about booking your place, send us an email at hello@thebumptobabychapter.co.uk.

Can I book on to a group course that's not my due date?

Yes! The due dates are given as a rough guide. If you think that baby will come early (eg. pregnant with twins)  then you are welcome to book the earlier classes. If you prefer the dates on the course month before or after, that's ok too. Please book whichever course you feel will be most suitable for you.

I have done The Birth Chapter online course, do I need to do the group classes too?

If you just want information, then you will have everything you need on the online course. However, doing a face to face group course gives you the option to ask questions real time. Doing group classes also means that you will have the opportunity to meet other parents-to-be who will be able to support you in your pregnancy but also when baby arrives too. They say that the friends you meet at antenatal class become friends for life!
