Job Title: Baby Class Leader – Maternity Leave Cover 

Location: The Bump to Baby Hubb, Cheltenham

Job Type: 15 hours p/week

Salary: £13-£15 per hour

Introduction: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Baby Class Leader to join our team and create an engaging, nurturing, and welcoming environment for infants and their families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and capable of leading activities that promote learning and bonding between babies and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and lessons to stimulate cognitive, emotional, and physical development in babies aged 0-4.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for babies and their families.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and support on class activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to share insights and improve class content and delivery.
  • Be organised with class bookings and welcome emails.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in early childhood education, child development, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience working with infants and young children, either in a teaching or caregiving role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both babies and their families.
  • Safety: Current First Aid and DBS checked.
  • Personal Traits: Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with babies and their families.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Advanced Qualifications: Additional certifications or training in specialised areas of early childhood education (e.g., baby yoga, sensory play).
  • Experience: Previous experience leading or coordinating baby classes or similar programs.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop innovative and stimulating activities that cater to a variety of learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with digital tools for managing class schedules and communication (e.g., online booking systems, class management software).

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Home/The Hubb, Cheltenham

Job Type: 10 hours per week Part-Time/Flexible

Salary: £13-15 per hour

Introduction: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide crucial support to ensure the smooth operation of our office and online space, handling a variety of administrative tasks and contributing to the overall efficiency of our organisation. The role will involve building and implementing organised systems to streamline admin operations and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Perform general office duties (either from home or The Hubb) , including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence; scheduling meetings; and maintaining class and venue supplies.
  • Document Handling: Prepare, proofread, and format documents, reports, and presentations. Manage filing systems and ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Ensure that schedules are effectively managed and that conflicts are resolved promptly.
  • Customer Service: Handle inquiries and provide information about the organisation as needed.
  • Data Management: Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and records. Assist with data entry and ensure that information is accurate and confidential.
  • Book Keeping: Basic bookkeeping functions to maintain financial records.
  • Administrative Support: Provide support to various departments and team members as required. Assist with project management and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize and coordinate company events, meetings, and other activities. Handle logistics and ensure that events run smoothly.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or office support role or transferrable skills.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Google, Google Drive, Sheets, Gmail. Bookkeeping skills using Xero. Someone who is tech savvy or quick to learn.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Personal Attributes: Friendly and welcoming tone. Work independently and intuitively.
  • Organisation: This is the key trait that we are looking for. Someone with excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Someone who can take charge in putting systems in place to streamline processes.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks and documentation.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Technical Skills: Experience with WordPress and ConvertKit is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
  • Multitasking: Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise a variety of tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges effectively.
